Pilgrimage to the Roof of the World
Some say the earth has three poles: the North Pole, the South Pole, and Tibet. The collision of tectonic plates has brought about the world's highest peak and incredible plateau scenery. Its location at the crossroads of oasis culture, nomad culture, farming culture, and ancient Indian culture helped its people cultivate their unique Tibetan culture and mysterious religion.
This 8-day Lhasa to Everest Base Camp private tour includes all the cultural heritage sites that you are probably looking forward to seeing in Lhasa followed by a holy lake, a glacier, and awesome snow-capped mountains on your way to EBC. Some activities allowing you to interact with local people have been added to enrich your experience on this once-in-a-life-time pilgrimage.

What a trip - made even more special by our incredible guide Mrs Choezom.
![]() What an amazing time - needless to say Tibet is absolutely beautiful. The people, the food, the monasteries, it’s all incredible. However, one person made it even more special. And that was Mrs Choezom. We simply couldn’t have asked for a more perfect guide. Mrs Choezom was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable - but more importantly she was genuinely proud to show off her amazing home. Coming from the UK, we were worried that maybe the language barrier could be difficult, but Mrs Choezom spoke incredible English and taught us so much about her culture. She consistently went above and beyond her duty to make us feel comfortable and happy. No request was ever too much. So thankyou, especially to Mrs Choezom. This incredible experience wouldn’t have been the same without you. I’m not one to usually write reviews, but I think it’s important for people to know just how great she was. I highly recommend both China highlights and especially Mrs Choezom. more

Gunter more

One of the most memorable trips
![]() We joined 6 day trip (Lhasa and Shigatse) with China Highlights/Tibet Vista. We have learned a lot about Tibet's history, culture, beliefs and lifestyle. The trip was running smoothly and relaxing. It was very well organized. People always respected of time. The chosen hotels were amazing - good locations, nice views, clean, spacious and nice breakfast. Our guide was Jenny. She was very friendly, helpful and always smiling. She was very knowledgeable like a history professor. We left the group earlier than the rest as our trip was 6 days, while others went further to Everest Base Camp. So another guide (not our original guide, Jenny) would travel back to Lhasa with us and the other person would drive us to the airport. The coordination between guides and drivers were seamless. We were always informed of next steps. We didn't feel left out or abandoned. All guides and drivers were punctual, nice, friendly and professional. Despite of language barrier, all of them were very patient and helpful. All of these not included other tour members who were very nice and easy going. more
